What to do in the year before I apply?

I'm applying for the 2016 admission. Im in my last prereq course and MCAT is August 15th.

Not applying this cycle because I don't want to be late and some other minute reasons but mostly because it would be considered late by the time my scores are released.

What should I focus on in this last year? More ECs? I have zero research experience.

Any advice? Thanks.

MCAT and basically all of your EC's... You should have a good idea of your situation and what you need...

Keep up your grades and EC's. Starting some research may be a good idea (don't expect one year of it to be a huge boost though). Also make sure to have your letters of rec lined up so you have them ready to go by next year. For this summer, your priority is MCAT. Good luck.
