hi,,

I have recived the general evaluation report from ECE,,

Can anyone guide me what to do next??

I also recived a sealed extra report..

what to do now??

should i send this report to ADA ,or I can register my self without it ..

what are the next steps what i have to do for taking the time for the exam??

Greetings,

1. If you had already requested ECE to send one report to ADA then you need not. But if you did'nt then you have to send your evaluation report to Joint comission of NBDE.

2. Fill out NBDE Part1 application online, pay the fees. Give them a week then call and ask if they received the application.

3. Wait for NBDE/ADA guys to send you a letter with a reference number and Prometeric testing center 1-800 number. It will take max 3 weeks.

4.Lastly call the Prometrics 1-800 no give your reference no & schedule your date of examination. Mean while you study hard.

i mean one can apply 2 thm b4 takin test.....
is it tht they take applications only twice a year??

Hi There,

Yes you can apply before giving NBDE PART1 & TOEFL in case you are giving your exams in a couple of months. Most universities in West coast accept apps from MAY - Sept. In East Coast they accept from June - February. UPENN, TUFTS, U PITT, COLUMBIA are a few acceptions. please go to their individual wesites for details.

Ideally U should apply after taking your exams.

one more question which i have is that ,,
If i am planning to give my NBDE part 1 on december ,, will i be able to apply to the universities for addmission in International Trained dentists programm after december??
if yes then in which universites ...
because i got to know that most of the universites call the students for interviews before december..

Hi There,

If you take your NBDE Part1 & TOEFL in December then you can apply to BU, NYU deadline is Feb 1st. U of Minnesota deadline is Jan 15th, Univ Colorado is a good option as it does not have a rolling cycle and deadline is March 1st.

Rest of them have rolling cycles and from my experience of last year the earlier you apply the better. If you apply in late Dec or Jan the chance of getting admission decreases. NYU is also an option because they start interviewing in Jan. BU & UMN are going to be difficult but not impossible to get in.
