Hello everyone!

I'd like to start off by saying thanks for all the information you guys have posted on this forum. I've been reading and using the search function but I can't seem to find what I'm looking for.

Well here's my situation
After graduating highschool I took a couple of years off for some soul searching and decided to go into medicine.
Now I'm starting my 4th semester in JC with my grades as follows:

Science:
Bio101-A
Calc1-C
GenBio1-B
Genchem1-B
Non-Science:
English1-B
WorldHistory-A
Music133-A
Music132-C
AvgGPA:3.182

Courses I'm taking next semester
GenBio2
Genchem2
English2
Physics1

I understand I should work even harder to bring my gpa up but here's my dilemma,
Should I work hard and apply to a US Med school? An international med school?
Can I transfer to an international med school to do a BS/MD program? If so, what schools have it?
Also, how do I apply to international schools? I read somewhere I have to contact the embassy?

I know you've probably seen these questions before but I appreciate your time and help!

BS/MD schools dont accept transfers
if you plan on coming back to america and getting a residency dont bother going outside the country for medical school.. because you will not get into a residency.. and be in 200k debt
start working hard get into a us medical school (MD/DO)
lazyness right now.. will screw over your life..
so start working.. for real..
general SDN consensus : transfer to a 4 year college
start getting high grades..
get a good mcat
get into a u.s medical school

and i will repeat a international school... should always be your very very very last possible choice

and with a 3.2 gpa.. your not that screwed..
you just need to get a few semesters with high grades you can get up to a 3.5+
and you'll be competitive..

Transfer to a 4 year and apply. You still have 2 years so try as hard as you can to get your gpa up. Volunteer, shadowing, etc... you will need them too, so try to do it when you have time. Once your done, 3.4 or 3.5+ with great ECs, your good to go for US. Apply broadly. As for international school, alot of Docs that I shadowed said to me "Once you get out, it will be hard for you to get back in". So if your planning to practice in the US, go for US med school.

Best of luck.
