So here are my stats
cum gpa undergrad: 3.04
post bac sci gpa: 3.23
post bac gpa:3.26
sci gpa: 2.81

So I am debating whether I should study for the DAT and apply early as possible this June or just take some more classes and apply next year? I am 26 now and want to get in a program. I calculated it and it would take me forever to get a 3.0 science gpa since I have lots of units already about 3 or 4 years with straight classes and summer. It would be best if there was grade replacement for me.

Right now I don't know what to take anymore. One of my major drawbacks for my undergrad gpa is me slacking off in Statistics during my freshman year which was a 5 unit course and I got a C in it. Replacing that grade with an A alone would boost up my gpa by about .09 which is a lot. I am thinking about taking stats at a community college to boost my gpa or replace it. Other than that should I just take a bunch of classes that says Bio, Chem, or math on it to boost my science gpa?

What would be the best option for me right now? Should I study take the DAT and see if I can get in this cycle or just take more science classes? If I study for DAT I realistically have 4 full months to study for the DAT and see if I can get a good score. I do know that many programs need a certain science gpa to even apply. Could you list some so I can take a look at them?

Nothing is guaranteed until you take the DAT. In terms of gpa, I would apply to as many schools I can on top of retaking the science classes. If you improved significantly more for your post-bacc gpa, then you wouldn't have to worry much. Best of Luck.

This semester should I just focus on taking the DAT then? I think taking classes and studying for DAT would be too much, plus I have work. I need to score high on DAT.

Wait what?! You are retaking the dat, why didn't you mention about your original dat scores in the first post? I think you should either study very hard to get an amazing DAT score like 24+ AA in order to offset your gpa or improve both DAT and gpa.

Confusing. You changed "retaking" to "taking". Did you take it? There's no shame if you did and you did bad. Plenty of people retake the DAT.

You need a minimum 3.0 sGPA to be considered by most schools.

AADSAS does NOT do grade replacement. They will average the grade for both courses. It sucks, but that is what it is. Maybe one day that'll change. Maybe not.

Your best option is to start NEW and do a postbacc or Masters. You can do a MBS program, formal postbacc, or an informal postbacc/Masters.

Everything you do will still be counted with your undergraduate units so they will separate your Undergrad GPA, Grad GPA, Postbacc GPA and then give you a CUMULATIVE GPA.

You have a long road ahead of you, but if you want it bad, keep going and don't stop.

sorry typo. Would you recommend me to just take general bio and ochem again at community college? Those classes made my gpa really low. If I did well in those my gpa would skyrocket tremendously. I took those classes my sophomore year in college when I was still young and immature. Would taking it at community college be good or bad idea? I took those classes at UC school.

You could retake it, but when you say, "skyrocket" are you thinking that the new grade would replace your old one? It doesn't. AADSAS will average both grades.

If you got a C (2.0) and then an A (4.0), then your final grade is a B (3.0) for that one class.

not worth doing that. It wont affect your gpa much. Is what you posted your post-bac cumulative with all the undergrad classes taken? If it is, what is your post-bac gpa by itself.

Depending on your dat you can still get into schools with lower admissions stats.

No its accurate. Hmm, I would rather take cc classes since it is much cheaper. I took classes at university paid out of pocket it was a lot of money and I am pretty broke. However CC doesn't offer much high end courses, I feel like at this point just take low end science classes or random science. If I need to take classes at University then I might just have to do it. It will take me awhile to get a 3.0 science gpa tho from my calculations.
