Hey all,
I was fortunate enough to receive an interview from UCLA earlier this month and scheduled for an interview next week. Then, I got a USC interview invite today for some mid-late Nov dates... Is it worth it for me to fly to CA for USC again? I live on the east coast. In USC's email, they said I may defer the interview once. I am assuming they are saying I can wait for later dates?

Any advice would be appreciated!

I don't know your schedule, but if your interview for UCLA is next week, that means early November right? I know USC has Nov 8 as a date. You can try explaining to them that you will be in California during that time and can't afford to fly there twice. Maybe they can squeeze you in, since they interview about 30 applicants in one day, I bet they wouldn't mind one more. Then you'd be able to do both interviews one after the other in one trip.

Ucla is way cheaper so if either go UCLA

Only you can answer that question 🙂

I would maximize all your chances of getting in.

Think of it this way. Each of us have spent thousands of dollars to get us to this point in our lives. If you feel in your heart completely confident that you’ll get in to one of the schools you have interviewed at, then don’t go. But if you have ANY doubt at all, then you need to go. You will lose more money than the cost of a plane ticket if you get denied from the other schools and you have to apply again next year.
