I'm in a bit of a dilemma. I'm currently enrolled at a community college; I am just about to finish up with my Physics and Chem classes and my GPA is 3.4. I have taken my English 1 and 2 and BIO1 and 2 at a 4 year school. My problem is that my GPA from the four year school is a 2.75.

My question is, "Should I retake the BIO and English courses before taking PCATs and apply for Pharm school." I know my GPA is not impressive and I would need to do well on the test. I've already begun studying for the test to have better chance at doing well on the test.
Thanks,
Giuseppe-

It depends on a few things. First, are you seeking to go to pharmacy school because I see that it states you are pre-dental? Not many people here could tell you about applying to dental school since this is for pre-pharmacy. Second, what was the grades you got in BIO1 and BIO2? If they were B's and you got a C in the english class, I wouldn't worry about it so much. A 3.4 for all your other classes isn't so bad. How many classes have you taken at the community college and what were your grades in the sciences and math courses? GPA isn't the only thing that gets you into a school of pharmacy. I doubt there is even a dental school that goes off GPA alone. I don't know how competitive they are, so unless you are switching to pre-pharmacy or keeping your options open, I'd still be checking with the pre-dental folk.
