Hey,

I just got all of my mandatory letters of recommendation in (the one from a practicing dentist is in the works). As of today, AADSAS is complete, and TMDSAS (Texas schools) is complete as well, with exception of those schools that require dentist LORs. My DAT scores were:

BIO 18
IOC 22
OC 21
RC 18
QR 23
AA 20
PAT 20

I have many LOR's, but only about 25 hours of shadowing. My Bio/Chem/Phys GPA is 3.5, Science GPA is 3.4, non-science is 3.1, and cumulative is 3.3. My last 2 years have been almost all A's.

I have applied to Baylor, Houston, San Antonio, Univ. Pacific, USC, UNLV, Boston, Columbia, Harvard, Dalhousie, Michigan, Oregon, Washington, Alabama, & Columbia.

Considering I have applied so late in the cycle, what are my chances of getting interviews, what schools should I expect, when should I expect interviews, and what are my chances of getting in?

Thanks in advance...

Your scores look good man, congratulations! 🙂

It's tough to predict if you're going to get interviews or not, I'd wager that you will. Applying early in the cycle is crucial. Many people that have several interviews right now applied in Late May/Early June. Many schools work off a rolling admissions process, so the earlier they see your application the better.

Also, that letter from a practicing dentist could hold up your application longer if he doesn't get it submitted a.s.a.p.. It takes aadsas several weeks to get those sent out once they receive them.

My advice, take a deep breath and don't expect to hear anything anytime soon...possibly a couple months as the schools are inundated right now. Keep your confidence and you'll do fine.

Good luck to you.
