So by this point some of us know that we are not getting into medical school this cycle. Besides the obvious retaking of the MCAT, what can you do to help improve on you're application in hope of reapplying this upcoming Summer?

1) MCAT
2) Grades
3) Clinical experience
4) Interview Skills
5) Personal Statement
6) Secondary Essays
7) Stronger LOR
8) Volunteer, Research, or other ECs

It will really depend on the person, and what their particular weakness may be.

Yeah ^^^^

Find out what happened - call the schools ASAP, and just ask them. You probably know where your weak areas are (unless one of them is self-evaluation...)

Hit those areas hard- give them no excuse to ignore you next time round. Stick with it, there are a lot of us in that boat. I was unsuccessful in the 09-10 cycle, took a year to regroup, gonna rock and roll this summer.

Good luck!
