What to mention in the essay

1. Should an applicant mention the various research publications and posters completed in the essay?
2. Should an applicant mention book chapters published?

Well since those things will be in the quasi-CV that ERAS produces, it is not necessary.

There are a variety of opinions on this. Some say not to repeat what is in the CV, some say its ok to highlight special things (like boo chapters authored).

IMHO you should not recite details about posters, etc. but a book chapter may we worth mentioning.

Also would someone please post what kinds of experiences really impressed interviewers, doctors without borders experience, publication, etc.
