So I took a class officially called Compmed 199 "Comparative Medicine Directed Reading." This is what is seen on my transcript.

Compmed 199 in my school is a class that prepares you for research or some kind of hands on lab work.

The specific title for my Compmed 199 course is called "Pathobiology of the Mouse"

Obviously, I want to write down Pathobiology of the Mouse, because it's more accurate to what I learned + I want the class to count towards my science GPA.

What should I do?

Ya gotta put what is on your transcript. If you don't, AADSAS is just going to turn right back around and change it when they verify your transcript.

There may be some sort of a process where you can petition to have the course count as a science class if you get some sort of documentation from your teacher, but I think that would be a stretch. I know you can at least do this at individual SCHOOLS when it comes to pre-reqs (ie. arguing for a certain class to fulfill an English requirement), but I'm not sure about doing this with AADSAS.

You can always call AADSAS when the cycle opens and ask them about it.

Thanks Glimmer1991. I know the petition process goes like this. After you do your initial submission, AADSAS lets you know what they think. Then, if you disagree, you send an email (they're strict about this. No phone call, no email from your committee or professor, etc.). I guess I'll do that if I'm on the border or something for my gpa. Anyways, thanks again for the tip.
