🙁 Hey guys, ive been working over the past month or so with destroyer and reading the Kaplan book which came with the course. Honestly the course was not that great, i took the DAT the first time in April and got scores between 15-18...i felt soo bad i didnt even think i could get over a 20 ever. I have done the science destroyer problems twice now and have read over the kaplan sections. I jsut bought topscore and got 18 in bio,18 chem, 19 orgo on the sciences. But i also did the achiever tests which i got 16's across the board. I am really bumed because i thought i had really learnde a lot from destroyer but it seems im stuck at the teens : ( I am now looking into what i got wrong and starting to read text books to understand waht i got wrong. Achiever is more difficult compared to topscore, what is the real DAT more comparable to? When do i know that im ready to take the real DAT?

What do i study now, should i keep going over destroyer and master the techniques/ideas? SHould i re-read all sciences in the kaplan review book to relearn details in bio and orgo? Should i learn all of the road maps in destroyer for orgo?

Also for PAT what can i use to practice and learn better techniques? I have the kaplan books, ive also heard that Barrons is great, what do u guys think?

I feel its the details of the bio section that really get me introuble, ex which has disulfide bonds, which does not have mitochondira... these types of details are hard to learn for everything. For orgo the main concepts, and knowing all the reactions i feel has been beneficial. I want to master chem, i think the only areas i did bad in were net ionic equations and silly mistakes that i knew but messed up on.

I think all the bio majors can agree that Kaplan Bio section is way too general . I like Schuamms Bio outline, but I haven't taken the DATs sooo I guess you should wait for someone elses input.
