I know this had been asked many times already, but what exactly should I wear for an interview?

Suit? Or dress pants and shirt?

Seeing how it is a whole day event, would a suit be too much?

Thanx in advance

go for the suit 👍

A SUIT!!!!!!!! NO QUESTIONS ASKED. BY THE WAY, I HEARD ABOUT THAT STUDY ON MEN AND THEIR URINALS..I WONDER IF THE SAME GOES FOR WOMEN WHEN THEY USE PUBLIC RESTROOMS

wear a suit unless you wanna be known as "the guy in my interview group that didn't wear a suit" 😛

Funny you brought that up, becuase we had a guy like that in our group, what made it worse, is that when we got a chance to ask students question, a couple of them were like wtf is up with the guy not wearing a suit. IF the students noticed while doing lab work, I know the faculty did as well.

HD

Think about it this way-if you were going let's say-prom in high school- would you dress up in a suit? or wear casual polo shirt and pants? Chances are- most people would say the suit.
While you're at the interview, the dental schools aren't just looking for the GPA/DAT...the point of the interview is for them to see if you fit in, if you presented yourself as a sucessful professional. So- don't cut yourself short, there are plenty of chances you will have to wear a suit.

since we just finished togaviridae in virology on monday...i say dress in a TOGA..

TOGA TOGA TOGA!!!

You should always wear a suit, you want to present yourself as professional as you can, for men, dark blue/dark grey, if you look mature and take that oppurtunity seriously, they will probably do the same as well, remember it doesn't matter how you get in, but if you get in!

Yup, a suit, and I was definitely almost "that guy" as I had considered just going with the shirt and tie. Wear your Sunday best.

Might I add for the gentlemen that a French cuffed shirt and some handsome cufflinks add just that special touch of panache. It'll give you that confidence that is oh so necessary during the interview.

Navy Blue Suit

Blue French Cuffed Shirt

Conservative tie

Polished Allen Edmonds shoes and No loafers or Wing Tips

LOL at 6:18 in the morning PCT.

(Can't be too loud, otherwise I'll wake up my family.)

And this is why I'm on SDN with some 400+ posts.

Go TOGA!!!

Make sure that the shirt you are wearing has no loose buttons! My shirt definitly popped open during my interview!

GrinninGrice......so thats how you got accepted!

wearing a suit should go without question.
but please... DON'T forget the tie!

i know some of you have seen it happen.
wear a tie.

so....your shirt popped open? um.....excuse me for a minute.......

You never want to be that guy -- the one wearing the dress pants/shirt but no suit. Dress business conservative.
