I am interviewing for a potential internship at a private practice dental office this week and was wondering what I should wear (I'm a 21 year old male). I was leaning towards wearing a dark suit and tie, but didn't know if that was too formal? My other option is just a nice pair of slacks and shirt.
Thanks for the advice!

I personally believe a suite may be too much. Whenever I have interviewed with a dentist, I have worn a nice pair of slacks with loafers and a shirt and tie. If it is cold out, I just throw a sweater on top. Don't forget to wear a watch! I believe this is the single most important thing to wear to an interview. It shows class and makes everything look that much better. Good luck to you.

wear a suite and show them how much you care about this internship. There is no such thing as overdoing it. No one sets these rules.

If you want to show that you are all into it, have the talk and look good wearing a suite.

I was also considering a gray pinstripe suit with just a white shirt (no tie) but didn't know if that would look unprofessional?
