I am currently preparing for my optometry school interviews and have been reading some posts regarding what to wear to an optometry school interview as a girl. I was planning on wearing either dress pants or a dress skirt (length is to my knees) & a dress shirt. However, I've seen a lot of posts on here mentioning wearing suits; I know this is the case for boys, but I was not planning on wearing a suit as I do not even own one.
I was wondering if anyone who has gone on optometry school interviews could give me some insight as to if what I was planning on wearing (either dress pants or dress skirt & shirt) was appropriate?
Thanks!!

I wore a black and white dress, tights, a black blazer and black flats!

I wore dress pants and a button up shirt with heels. So far all the other girls that interviewed on the same day as me wore heels too (one brought shoes to change for the tour though). If you wear a dress or skirt I think flats are fine but if you decide to wear pants I think the heels make it look more professional. I felt a little underdressed compared to all the guys wearing suits but what you have planned is perfect, don’t overthink the outfit too much lol

I wore a black blazer, a white button up, dress pants, and low heels. I definitely looked boring and more formal compared to the other girls but hey its better to be safe than sorry haha. You can definitely get away with a nice blouse (non button up) that has some patterns or a color. I think you should wear a blazer because most of the interviewees did (the last thing you want to worry about is feeling underdressed). Good luck!
