For me it's literature. Can't stand reading books and then discussing about them in class and realizing this is getting nowhere. Also hate these classes because I never know my grade until the final day. Drives me insane for rest of the semester. not to mention essays are based on subjective grading which means even more uncertainty

Yep, English classes kill me. I'm a decent writer (I think!), but yes--the subjective grading bothers me. I'm also fairly shy/quiet/reserved and absolutely hate required participation. I'm glad to be done with English classes forever.

Although, Organic Chem lab is quickly becoming one of my most hated classes of all time.

i hate electives in areas i don't care. i am taking this "american pop music" class which is basically the history of rock roll. each lesson has about 150 pages of reading over 7 books and he tests over the minutia and then his essay questions are like, "explain the beatles' first concert in america in a minimum a 3 pages." wtf am i supposed to write about for 3 pages. frankly, i don't care about the history of rock and roll. if the music sounds good, i listen. if it doesn't, i don't. i will be happy with a C because I LOATHE that class, and other classes where the subject material has zero interest to me.

Any course that should be easy except the professor turns it into a nightmare. Yes, I understand that some people might enjoy world geography, I however don't particularly care to write a 5 page research paper on it. It only gets worse when the professor thinks it's your only class and the workload is as much as your other 3-5 classes that term.

Anthropology classes. All you do is read and then discuss the reading. No lecturing and all grading is based on essays which makes your grade very subjective. Also, most of the things you read as so out of date its just completely pointless and has no relevance to the world today.

I'm a psychology major but I've never really enjoyed any of my psych classes. Sometimes taking a course on a topic you find absolutely fascinating just ruins it entirely. Plus, I'm not a huge fan of lecture-based courses. I like discussions.

I love English courses! LOL

Any class with a horrible lecturer/sorry-excuse-for-a-proffesor. I have completely stopped going to my chem class because the teachers are just BAD, terrible, down right atrocious!

My least favorite class right now is analytical chemistry. I like the professors and topics covered, it's just the lab reports that make me want to stick a fork in my eye.

I hate labs with a burning passion that nobody else can match. I really hate English classes too.

Anything with a boring, droning lecturer.

But mostly I hate the required courses they make you take-- public speaking and health & wellness.

English classes or a history class with a bad lecturer(I got lucky in my class though, loved the guy.)

And second to the guy who said labs. They are so time consuming for the "1 hour" credit hour they represent.

America At War, it was a comparative literature class. Worst professor of my life, he gave me a 0 on an essay I wrote... seriously. Give me a class with real answers, no opportunity for some professor to stretch his sense of superiority.

I hate labs too! Sitting around for three hours doing a canned experiment or study drives me insane. Then there are almost always calculations afterward. Math has been my enemy for years!👎

Man, my sentiments exactly... minus the fact that I have not taken such a class.

Mine would be lecture only classes. The professor does nothing but talk, asks no questions, and seems like they hate what they do. I can handle it, but it is my least favorite.

Decided to take orgo lab and bio lab all in the same semester... My "official" credit hour count for the semester was 14, but in actuality I spent something like 22 hours in class a week, with lab write ups and other things on top of that... there is something seriously wrong with that.

Yeah, I actually like most lab classes but they should be worth more credit hours.

Except, then they'd cost more in tuition, too...

Anyway, I hate math classes most. I don't hate math, just math classes. They force you to do the problems by hand, without a calculator, without any context. I actually like using math for problem solving when I can get a computer to do the arithmetic for me, but the way they teach it in class sucks all the joy out of it and turns it into a mind-numbing number crunching exercise.

Yeah, labs suck. I hate classes that focus on group work because those are always problematic.
