what type of ec's did everyone here do ....?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
freshman year was different for me than any other year. i was just getting a feel for campus, so i did a few things to see what i liked. i worked at the campus radio station (didn't continue after frosh year), played IM sports, was part of my residence hall government (resedential life is big where i go, and the majority of students stay on campus 3 years. there are no frats, and the dorms are single sex, so your dorm turns basically into a frat, with members of each class living there...pretty fun actually. so this was like being part of a frat governing body..planned/organized/help run events, etc).

I couldn't do any hospital volunteering like I wanted, because I did not have a car, and there was no easy way to get to where I could volunteer.

Do what you're interested in. Seriously. Don't be one of those people whose every action is calculated according to what will look the best on med school applications. Be interesting - do music or theater or sports or something.

My freshman year, I think I was involved with a religious organization and helped high school kids learn to fix computers. It was a long time ago.

Ronald McDonald House (it was an easy choice, given the fact that it was right on campus)
