What type of GPA trend is this?

1st Semester: 3.72

2nd Semester: P/F (Optional for us, but had several family losses related to the pandemic)

3rd Semester: 3.45

4th Semester: 3.83

5th Semester: 3.57

6th Semester: 3.93

7th Semester: 4.0

8th Semester 4.0

Overall GPA: 3.8 and my last three semesters were overloads when it came to credits.

Nothing that I would worry about. You haven't for under 3.0 under this scenario. Presuming the pass fail semester is spring 2020. Keep up those trends.

I'm just saying most faculty will not really be impressed with overloads. The calculations will stand as they do, appropriately weighted by the hours.

Do keep in mind that adcoms see gpa by academic year, not by semester.

Yes, I know it sounds like a stretch (lol) but I'm pretty much done with my major requirement classes and hard science classes so I'm relaxing for the next two semesters taking some fun public policy and science classes that shouldn't be too difficult at all.

Sounds good, but don't be shocked if adcoms don't react the way you might expect when your GPA rises as your classes get easier. They are not stupid, and know the difference between something that predicts later performance in med school, like hard science classes, and things that don't, like fun public policy classes.

Not much of a trend there, but overall it's fine, as long as your science GPA is solid.
