What type of thread (if any) annoy you most?

There are some types of questions or comments that are always being made, I'm just wondering if any SDNers are sick of some of the topics being discussed.

You forgot to add the "I just got a C, am I ok?" threads, which are similar to the "can I get in with these stats" threads but even more annoying IMO.

How about "all of the above"? But I agree that the "Oh my God! I'm Screwed because I got a B!" threads are seriously annoying and do not bode well for the person starting the thread.

Posts where people are looking for specific responses, i.e. - "Please post if you got 'X' GPA/MCAT. Then people with ridiculously high stats posts to make other people feel like crap about themselves and all of their hardwork just for their own enjoyment and to add to their already overblown ego. STOP DOING THAT. 😡

How about the troll bait you find in the lounge? Political threads where people belittle each other and get nowhere. Something that irks me is any specific group's celebration; be it of acheivement or mediocrity-- I can't stand being divided.

What about the "I have a very unique situation" threads - and then the poster describes a perfectly average boring application. (eg, I have a 3.5, 30 MCAT, some volunteer experience, and shadowed a doc for a little bit, but I brush my teeth with a RED toothbrush, so therefore deserve all of SDNers attention and time...)

any sex/race/gender/religion out there threads. Just annoy the living crap out of me, with URM threads a very close second, mainly b/c you get a few people with different points of view and one or two a$$#013s who flame the thread and degenerates into everybody calling each other a racist

Even more than the stupid threads are the stupid conversations that go on within the thread! I go on to threads to look for things related to that thread and it takes me 3 pages to get to what I want to see because some people use threads as a message system and talk about totally unrelated crap (i.e. "Oh my gosh, I love that band! Are you going to their show next week?"). Use the private message/e-mail system people! The rest of us are tired of you, lol
