Hey everyone! I want to know what your gpa was at ~49hrs because I feel like I am doing horrible in comparison to others. I have a 3.4, and a science gpa of 3.2 w/o orgainc chem & II, Bio I & II and Physics II. I am taking Bio I and o chem now. I am a biology major, are my feelings of doubt justified?

1.90

i just hit the 3.0 mark 4 days ago.....3.011, and im still 126 hours....quarter hours that is...

🙂 never lose hope...

looking at my transcript i had pretty much the same gpa as u..i ended up graduating with a 3.02 though..it sucks that it dropped so much but i just had a real hard time balancing out my studying with my social life..it would have been nice to have better grades but seriously i wouldn't give up the experiences and all the fun i had..im really banking on my DAT scores pulling me through..otherwise i don't know

u have no reason to doubt urself..things will be fine! although u've still got plenty of time left and many difficult classes to take..but don't let it consume your life..this is pretty much the only chance you're going to have to be free of the burden and responsiblity of real life

There is nothing wrong with a 3.4. That's about average for most schools. You'll be fine.

Work on pulling up that science GPA and don't sweat it. You're in great shape. 😀

Do you guys think I should retake, chem 1 over again? This spring I will have completed my associates degree in biology.I was thinking maybe this summer I should go ahead and take chem 1 over (get an A this time). Those are my thoughts.....any suggestions?

yeah, i suggest taking it easy on yourself and start stressing out on stuff you shouldn't be stressing out on. Try to have fun in college, and try to get good grades, and try not to fall below 3.4 or even 3.3....

2.97 Overall, 3.23 Science GPA, 3.74 Post-Bac Science GPA after 40 units

According to AADSAS it was 3.6 Cum, and 3.5 Sci....just missing 2 physics classes.

after 49 hours it was 4.0 -- then I changed my major to microbiology and it was steady decline to 3.4 . . . those were the days

If you did terribly in Gen chem you may want to retake because you will definately see that information again on the DAT. So if you sqeeked by and didn't really learn much you may want to retake. But if you learned everything realatively well, but your grade didn't really show that because you turned an assignment in late, or missed a lab or two, than I would just try to refresh your stuff when you prepare for the DAT.

One way to tell how much you know would be to take a practice DAT. If you get a 10 in the Gen chem section than summer school may look like a good idea. 👍
