What was your major in college?

I was Economics, although I'm about two courses shy from a full MCB/Biochem degree too 😛

EDIT: I know this poll is not-all inclusive, so post what you majored in if this doesn't accomodate it. I forgot Math! Doh!

I'm a psychology major. I don't know what I'll minor in.

Underwater-Basket Weaving.

you've been referencing that a lot lately.

Well it is my major. duh.

I finally go back to school tomorrow, so you won't be hearing much more about it. Although it is an interesting subject.

The usual boring pre-med major, a form of biological science.

Biology major, premedical emphasis but dual admission spot into DO school is the clincher and minors: chem, psych, medical humanities, and possibly public health

I thought everyone would be a major related to biology. Guess I was off.

First degree was a dual major in French and English Lit. Second degree is bio. Straight up 🙂

I did physics and math. The math major was a little weak though. Basically I had to take so many math classes for my physics major that an extra six gave me the math degree.

Micro/Molecular Biology. 1 class away from minoring in Chemistry, but meh, won't end up taking it.

Majoring in biological sciences (BA)
Minoring in economics

Chemistry with a Math and Bio minor. 😎 I'm spending wayyy too much time in school.

Speech Communication and Political Science.... woohooo.....

Bioinformatics and Computational Biology. Thanks for forgetting Computer Science and every other engineering major, or anything fun like Art or Theatre.

Finance and Spanish...

BS in Biology
BA in Psychology

I started as a psych major, and after I took my biology pre-req classes I kept taking them and, a lot more, so I am not that far from completing that one too so I just added it on.

I have actually heard of a pre-med who was a Theatre Arts major. He is now at a top 20 medical school, and apparently his interviewers were fascinated by his choice of major.

Want to major in philosophy, but also want to major in something that covers the med school prerequisites so I can kill all my birds with one stone.

I think I am going to do philosophy as well. The cool thing is that there is a major in the philosophy department called "the history and philosophy of science." It has thirty credits of science as part of the requirement.

A lot of schools have that major, surprisingly, and I entertained the possibility of majoring in it before, but I have never taken a philosophy course and I have the feeling I would suck at it.

I'm Biophysics with an emphasis on the human body, for some reason I felt that this would most beneficial to me...
1) because I love bio and physics fascinates me!
2) I plan to be a cardiologist, so knowing the mechanics of it, I think would help me out

I'm not gonna make my final decision until I take some upper division philosophy courses because I have the same fears. Philosophy is so subjective, it's not like math where you are either right or wrong on something. It is kind of up to the professor's opinion at times. But, I have done pretty well in English and the philosophy I have taken, so I think I will be o.k.

Hopefully soon. Transfering in from cc. Had acceptance at one point but could not afford it. Decided to go ahead and finish my AA degree. Then the budget cuts happened. So I don't know for sure yet. Hopefully they will let me finish up here and keep my letter of acceptance and matriculate later AKA defer acceptance. It is kind of a long shot with how hard it is to get in now adays, but my stats are pretty good.

EDIT: The thing that really sucks is that I got accepted about three months before I could get financial aid. Otherwise I would be starting there tomorrow instead of going back to the cc.
