As i explained before this is my last shot at the MCAT and I know that my weakness is Bio. To overcome that I was going to do the following things and wanted your input.

--less memorization, more practice--on just the bio section and my best section(verbal) . I think i spent too much time on the physical part and 7 was the highest i've ever gotten. I will go over formulas and practice the stuff i hate on PS but more focus on those two.

okay, i have the EK books, someone gave me the new mcat book from kaplin with CD--but i thought maybe a review class in just the bio section would help? does anyone but kaplin do this and is the online course helpful?

what have you guys done to bring up your weak section--and what worked , what didn't? I 'll tell you right now, memmorizing anatomy did not help--it seemed like most of the questions last year where like all those science journals in Nature I never bothered reading-- a boatload of molecular bio and genetics.

PS was my weak spot. To prepare, I didn't do very much memorization, instead, I focused on nailing down the concepts for the topics and really understanding what the terms meant, how all of them fit with each other and how I might be tested on them in the MCAT. Verbal was another weak spot. I recommend getting practice tests of every type and paying attention to the frame of mind required to tackle the test passages because all the tests focus on different ways of MCAT preparation. During my practice period for the MCAT, I did all kinds of tests from AAMC, TPR, Kaplan, and whatever else I could find on the shelves at the book stores just to get a better feel for the pace, and attitude to get used to the questions in the MCAT format.

For me, TPR offered the best preparation for the test because it suited my learning style the best. EK didn't work as well for me so I just used it as a supplement when I needed some kind of visual guide to hammer in some concepts. I supplemented my review with old Kaplan Course material I got from a buddy who took the course. The Kaplan stuff was plentiful so there was no shortage of stuff to use in my review. The Kaplan discreets, subject tests and other stuff was good for really keeping me on my toes. I went through all the TPR hyperlearning practice materials and the Kaplan stuff in a couple of months or so.

Verbal was by far my weakest spot...
Hence my name =)

I took the MCAT and my science sections pretty much doubled my verbal...looks like I might have to rewrite if I don't get accepted.. I applied late and thankfully I still have an interview invite.
