Hi,

I was wondering how people scored only using Dr.Collins vs, those using multiples sources. I recently bought dr.collin's self study, and am trying to see if I need to purchase additional study material.

Thanks!

You should use multiple sources but Dr. Collins has a lot of practice tests. I did study mainly from the Dr. Collin packets and practice tests and got a 77 composite (first time got a 45).

hey holycow, how are you finding the study guide I'm thinking about purchasing it but its really expensive so I wanna find out more about it.

The guide has a lot of practice tests. You can't just use one study guide, you will still need to use your textbooks for reference. Its a 'study guide' and does not replace your textbooks.

Yeah. By no means is this some miracle product as some of the people make this out to be.

It really depends on how many of the pre-pharm classes that you have taken and how well do you perform in clutch situations.

Yes please look at the larger Dr. Collins thread. There are multiple experiences out there, and every person learns at a different pace. Some may need lots of study material, while others can look at the study guides and do well. It's best to pay attention in your actual lecture classes and supplement with study aids and practice tests. As for me, I went from a 43 to a 74 using Collins alone. But I also took Organic II and Calculus I between my first and second PCAT writings.

Hey, the packet looks good. I think it is worth it as it has a lot of practice exams.

I had 45%, and then I had another 80%. Using Dr. Collin study material, I had improved significantly over a short period of time. Of course, this improvement was not possible if I am not good at the subjects alone. However, this study guide helps me to see what kind of questions would I exptect in the Pcat.

as a comparison i went from 33 to 79 with kaplan pcat packet... over 200% increase so yeh it just depends on how motivate and determined you're
