so i got a choice
over the summer i can take
physics 1 and 2 ( alg/trig based)
or
organic chem 1 and 2

what would you all choose
im reluctant to choose to take both organic chem and physics next year because idk both seem like difficult classes to take side by side
i'd also like to add im a college freshman =p

take organic because then you can take biochem and more upper-level bio courses before you apply.

i'd also like to add im a freshman lol =p
so idk if the previous post still holds seeing that i got another 3 years during which i got alot of time to take science classes

Then it doesn't matter. Most people find Physics easier than O-chem. So you still might want to take O-chem over the summer, so you won't be distracted by other classes. You'll have to take both eventually, so just pick what you want.

well im thinking that organic chem over the summer might be good because i can put in alot of effort into self-study
however i am afraid that its such a major course that putting it all together in 2 months might over load me

Talk to other students who have taken the courses during the summer before. Usually the prof who teaches the summer course is different from the prof that teaches the course during the year. I'm taking organic over the next summer, because apparently at my school there is a fantastic summer organic prof who only teaches during the summer. Both physics and organic will be tough when compressed into a period of two months, so it's best to choose the one that you have heard has a better prof.

Same goes for me. I'm taking Orgo next summer as well. The summer Orgo professor, I heard, is far better than the one who teaches over the year.

I took Ochem and physics as a sophomore. While it was a lot of work, it was definitely doable. You could reserve your summer for a job, volunteering, research...
