if you are not accepted into dental school? At that time I will have already completed a MS program. I'll just attend a PhD then re-apply. Do any applicants with a MS and PhD get denied? My goal is to do the DDS/PhD program, but if I don't get accepted and do a 3 year PhD before the DDS, I would have lost no time since the dual degree is 7 years. The PhD would be 3-4 years and the DDS is 4 years.
Most people who don't get in, will attend a masters program or PB program. It's always good to have a second alternative in case things don't go in your favor. If a bad score pops up on my screen after taking the DAT, it won't bother me too much since I have an alternative plan.
