Hi, I have these two options and am very indecisive.
1. Take a gap year: be able to take Genetics and Physiology before MCAT, have an entire summer to study for said test, improve GPA (from 3.6 -> 3.7 speculated)
2. No gap year: Only have 2 months + winter break (~3weeks) to study for MCAT, won't be able to take Genetics and Physio courses.
Thanks so much, I feel as if I've asked this questions so many times in different formats but this has been the most concise way I've explained it thus far. The only reason I'm not leaning more towards a gap year is because I know I'll have most of the things I need by 3rd year and *hopefully* won't be lacking in ECs and so I won't have the desire to volunteer...blah blah for an entire year when I could be starting my career in medicine.
Basically, are my reasons sufficient to take a gap year or can I go the normal route?
