A fee months ago I met with a high ranking official from one of my top choices for med school. This person agreed to review my amcas appellation before I submitted it. This person's office has been very busy. I've called three times, and emailed several more after submitting my materials. Everything has arrived to Amcas except my application. What should I do? Or what would you do? Should I wait for this person given the weight they have on my admission into his school or should I submit already? My application has been complete to the best of my ability for just over a month now. I wanted to apply early but I'm not sure if that will be a possibility. The way it looks, it will be september before I can submit if I wait for this individual's feedback. I value their insight highly, but I'm beginning to worry. I don't know if this is the big guy upstairs telling me to be patient or if I need to go on and submit. Please help!

Unless you are 99% sure that the person can get you into his/her school, you should really submit your application right now. It takes 6 weeks to get verified...you don't want to be on the late side of things.

I agree, if you have tried to reach this person in writing (meaning they would see the emails they ignored or letters), and they haven't responded for a month then you are well within your rights of submitting now. Never put all your eggs into one basket; who knows you may desire to go to another school once you are done with interviews.
