What percentile would you think a 22AA/23TS is these days? It seems like everyone and their dog posts a 22+ AA these days

Well last year it was around 97%. Who is gonna post a breakdown with really bad scores?

it's probably a really high percentile, think about it that way: we're all humans and love to brag, so all the people that get high scores will post them right away! it just feel awesome telling others how smart we are by showing them crazy scores! but then you have all the 20 and below who think they have failed miserably (while they have actually scored like what most enrollees actually scored) and don't post their grades!

there are 12000 applicants each year, 5000 make it in dental school with averages of 19-20.. some had above that, others had below! I can't really tell how many out of these 5000 had 17,18,19,20,21,22,23,30, but I am sure more than half scored around 19-20!

I'd estimate somewhere around 97-98, the most recent data set from ADA says 99 but it seems to be a little lower nowadays.

This site gives you a skewed perception of the applicant pool. The ones on here are generally the more competitive ones and more likely to succeed.

Because he stated "like everyone and their dog posts a 22+ AA these days." Yeah, only the people who do really well will post. If I had scored a 17 aa, I wouldn't have made a breakdown for instance and I'm sure this would apply to many others.

With what I'm seeing on SDN, a 22AA/23TS is like a 6%. Probably even lower than that.

I think the SDN community is an exception. If you're here and active, you're the type of student that works hard and that leads to success. With a 20+, you'll be a D1 the following year. Just kill the interview

At the end of the day, you gotta run your own race. While it is true that competition may help foster higher results, often times it may lead you feeling unsatisfied because unless you are that one person, there is most likely always someone better. Running your own race does not by any means mean that you care less, it just means that when you do your best and you know it, you won't and shouldn't care if the next guy does better or worse than you (its fine to be happy for them). Now, dental schools care, but they also care about a few other things. Focus on your own personal growth every day, and you will be ready for dental interviews/school/anything down the road.

The mean could still be below an 18 making anything 20 or higher pretty much great.
