Hi everyone. I'm a 2nd year student at UWaterloo and as a side project of mine, I made a website with illustrations to promote public awareness of the services an optometrist can provide. A lot of the people in my life tend to strongly associate the optometry profession with just selling glasses, and I wanted to help change that perception. If you can, please take a look at it here: http://www.whatoptometristsdo.com . I still have much to learn about optometry, so if you have any comments or suggestions to improve my campaign, I will appreciate it!

Optometrists can't even sell glasses. I wore the wrong prescription for 4 years because 2 optometrists said that my glasses were working fine. When I finally saw a doctor, he found that they had added astigmatism correction to my lens for no reason what so ever.

That makes no sense whatsoever. What possible benefit would there be for them to prescribe astigmatism correction when you had none?
How do you know it was the "wrong prescription" for four years? Astigmatism can fluctuate over time.
