whats the best way.....if you want to convey that you like the clinical problems you deal with in anaesthesia, you like the fact that you make decisions and see results in seconds to minutes to hours, good mix of acute physiology and practical hands on interventions......how can you illustrate all of this in a good succinct answer..

i was hoping someone could describe a challenging case and the issues it brings up as an example to narrate in the interview as being the kind of work you would enjoy doing as a resident.

thanks guys.

well, only looking for hints from those who've been on the interview trail. what kind of answer scores the most points. after all, you have 10 minutes to make a good impression....so what can you say to show them that you're a knowledgable candidate

"honestly"

beyond that you're on your own. if you're having a hard time describing why you want to do it, you might want to step back and assess your decision. i don't think interviewers are looking for a breathtaking composition of compassion and ambition, but rather an expression of sinicere interest in the field. that should be one of the easier questions you will field.

dude, be honest. i told them i had no clue what i wanted to do. i kinda liked surgery but didnt want to round on people but still wanted to be in the OR. people prefer to hear your honest answer and not some canned bs.

just tell them you want the money and the free time and all the chicks. no need to lie.
