What's considered Minority?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Referring to ethnic minority status, Asians are largely NOT considered minority.

I am Asian. Most places outside of dentistry I am considered a minority. But dental school might be different.

You are definitely NOT a URM...although you are technically a minority, you are not an URM. And even most places outside of dentistry included...medicine, pharmacy, dentistry, engineering...etc. Don't worry about this though, if you're smart enough to get in, then you'll definitely get in somewhere.
