So, I'm confused about how tuition works. My schools tuition for fall of 2014 is $39,018. The first year is composed of Fall of 2014, Winter of 2015, and Summer of 2015. So, that mean the first year is going to be $117,054? I know this doesn't sound right. Anybody care to shed some light on this issue for me?

I just quickly looked and found this on their website:

100% percent of tuition and 100% of fees and instrument costs must be paid by the first day of each academic term. If you have received financial aid, it can be used as part of this payment at registration. The following is an estimated cost for a First Year Dental Student based upon 2012-2013 costs. It is provided as a guide to assist you in planning.

TUITION $60,090

FEES, EQUIPMENT, INSURANCE, INSTRUMENTS $11,432

TOTAL $71,522

Scroll to bottom, seems that you'll be charged that amount twice per year.

Since it was 71k for the ENTIRE year last year, and the OP says the tuition figure he is looking at is 39k, I agree it looks like the cost is 39k per semester. I'm not sure about the summer.

Yikes... That's a big hike in tuition costs.

I saw that as well but was confused on how they would bill it to us. Do you pay lump sum for 1 year in fall or spilt it into three bills?

I called and they said summer classes are free.🙂 So, the tuition for Mercy is around $78,036 per year. :drowning:

Don't forget the first semester tuition includes the laptop (2.5k)
