what's going on with NBDE scores?!?!?!

ok so what's this I'm reading on the threads about people getting raw scores like 80 in each section turning into an 80 or 81 as their cumulative score??? does that only happen when people take the exam when less people are taking the exam (ie like in the fall or winter?) because if on the 1998 rubric a 80 is like a 95, then i would expect an 80 to be a 90 or close, but not no curve at all. does anyone know? maybe the posts were just misinformation? please let me know, I'm taking part I this week!
