What's my next move?

You'll probably want to get some clinical experience in the U.S. as well. You mentioned getting a job as a patient care tech, but if you're really short on time, I would recommend simply volunteering at a local hospital.
 
He's assuming he will get 4.0 in all of his subsequent classes. I did the math, and that's the only way he can get a 3.6 cumulative GPA.

I havent finished this process yet, so with that said, I would REALLY try to volunteer at a hospital. If you can get your GPA up, the research and tutoring sounds great, but you really need that patient interaction. I can understand the school/work balance problem, but just make sure you breathe a little and dont burn yourself out too quickly. GOOD LUCK WITH EVERYTHING!

Assuming the OP has 60 credit hour, it is doable for them to raise his gpa to a 4.0. Now the types of courses they take to get to that is something else altogether.
