you eat sugar, it is converted to dextran, bacteria link up to the dextran which sticks to teeth. they eat the sugar and produce acid which eats away at enamel. enough eating and pooping of bacteria and a cavity forms and the dentist makes money. we survive off of microorganisms who produce acid. Kind of funny if you think of it really hard.

the biochem is more complicated but that is the essence. I hope that was enough intellectual porn for one night😀
