Whats the average malpractice premiums for FT Psychiatrists?

Just curious, since I am ignorant about this stuff as a resident.

My understanding/guesstimation is that its 10-12k in NYC area for FT PP, and 20k if you do ECT.

Does this sound about right?

Anyone else know about other states, or a website that gives malpractice premium info?

Here are what the rates would be without discounts for the APA program. It doesn't sound like New York is a high rate place.

Worst case scenario in my state (not assuming ECT -- I don't know what that does with rates) would be about $5k for an occurrence based policy assuming I don't get any discounts (which is a false assumption). It would be about $2.5k for the lowest coverage for a claims made type of policy.
