I need the name of a great book with usmle step 1 practice questions. I do not need an online question bank.

Hi whatdidigetinto, my name is the 1990s.

I'm in an apartment without a wired Internet connection. I just tether my phone to my laptop and do MINIMAL browsing since my Internet data quota is 1GB. At home on the weekends I will use UW. But since qbanks are generally flash intensive I'm gna forgo using one when I'm in my apartment during the week while going to medical school.

Any other bright ideas other than a book with questions?

Buy a real data plan.

Do question banks at Starbucks, another suitable coffee shop, or the library fo free.

I don't live in the USA so I don't have the luxury of buying a real data plan. And I'm not comfortable studying unless I'm in my home, which I'm sure many other people also feel the same way. So again I ask you: Are you aware of any good question books for step 1?

Kaplan QBook or FA Q&A (which is also available for iPad). There are lots of apps for iPhone with questions, e.g. from Lange. I guess that they would be available for Android, too, but am not sure about that.

Kaplan QBook is good, but not nearly as good as UWorld or even Kaplans own qbank.

by subject, I really like(d) these books:
Gray's Anatomy Review - lots of low yield stuff, but might be worthwhile if you had trouble in anatomy. 900 questions
Review of Medical Physiology (Schneider) - good, conceptual questions. hard to find in print. 725 questions
Robbin's Review of Pathology - A+ resource in first aid. 1200 questions
Review of Medical Microbiology (Murray) - good qbook for micro. 600 questions.

I second Qbook, Robbins Review Q&A (takes time), and Review of Micro & Immuno (Immuno section is good, but lacks answer explanations so you have to dig for that yourself)

Correction: When I wrote Micro & Immuno, I was referencing Lange's Medical Microbiology & Immunology by Levinson. I haven't used the other Review of Micro book. My b
