What's the best way to learn step 1 pharmacology?

I dont even know where to begin for this. What are the methods you guys are using? Are you just doing the Pharm section of first aid? Flashcards? Any books/ programs u recommend? Thank u!

I would just learn everything from FA. I don't think I've been tested on a drug yet that I haven't found in FA. It helps that my school's final in pharm was cumulative and I had to study for five weeks for it last month, but even if that hadn't of happened I've never seen any nitty gritty detail that they made us learn... its all (98%) in FA.

gotcha..but like how do u drill that mindlessness into ur brain? do u guys know of any good programs online for it? or just old school flash cards?

Ask yourself what's worked best for you in the past two years of classes. For me, doing the Pharm section in QBanks worked best. I couldn't be bothered to make flash cards. But whatever it is, repetition is key.

Memorize ALL THE THINGS. I used flashcards, but that works best for me for brute force memorizing info. If you're the same, another SDN member actually completed a deck of flashcards with all of the drugs from FA included that you can use with a variety of websites/programs/apps. You can find the file with instructions on how to use it somewhere in the huge 2013 thread.

Flash cards are your best bet. Search google for USMLE Pharmacy FlashCards and I bet you will come across a bunch that have already been made.
