Every patient with headache, syncopal episode, neurological symptoms etc should have a full neuro exam. Let's see, off the top of my head:

Romberg, finger-nose, tippy-toes, gait, Grasset, cranial nerves (II-XII), vision field, sensation (prick, tactile, vibration), reflexes, muscle strength, knee-heel, Barré.

How the h do you pull all that off (plus history and cardiovascular and the stuff I forgot to mention) within 15 minutes? For those of you that did it, what (exactly) did you do in your neuro exams?

Thanks!

dude you totally forgot muscle tone...come on now....just do it

Just practice a few times. Everyone does it . Don't worry, you too will be just fine.

Well, I have no experience with SPs, but I assume they are more responsive than most patients. I mean, just explaining finger-nose or knee-heel to a "real" patient can take a good minute or two... 🙂
