I' currently a Bio major
but I have to fulfill a foreign language requirement.... I'm thinking of taking Japanese language courses and minoring in that. Since that minor is not too far off from an asian studies course (also interested in this).. I want to minor in this too.

Also, since i only need two more psych classes to complete a minor, I might as well.

what do you guys think?

too much?

I want to minor in them because they appeal to me not because I want to pad my application/resume/etc.

help

I think you can minor is as many things as you'd like to. I don't know how common it is to minor in 3 or 4 things, but if you have the class time to do it and you're interested in the fields, then by all means.

The maximum number of minors is 42, which happens to be the meaning of life, too.

Well, if you are Michael Jackson, as many as you want.

 That is freakin' hilarious!

When I was applying for med school, we didn't even have a place to list our minor on the AMCAS. I'd say that if you were only one or two classes away from getting your minor, then go ahead and go for it, but if it means taking a bunch of classes you aren't really interested in, then don't bother.

you can do as many as you want...but you have to remember that your school has a unit cap and if you go over this cap then restrictions pop up into place.

i have 2 minors but was planning to get 4. however, berkeley has a unit cap and i went over that by a lot so they said i was forced to graduate by my 8th semester and would not be able to stay longer like other students to finish the other two minors.

the only time they let you get past the unit cap and stay at school longer to finish those classes is if you are going to double major.
