PA school was 18 or something like that.

Only because the system wasn't set up to account for PA students. Is the OP asking about credits? I took 21 my last semester before PA school due to an oops from the guidance office. My school was about 35 hours per week, but they charged for 18 credits. Otherwise the tuition would have been more rediculous.

21 in college, 24 in grad school

fall 2005 18hrs
spring 2006 20hrs
summer 2006 14hrs
fall 2006 16hrs
spring 2007 19hrs
summer 2007 15hrs

currently 19hrs

tough but doable. excellent prep for grad school. (PA or AA 😀)

I did 16 hours and worked 60 hours a week for one semester only.

I would not advise it to anyone, ever.

my last semester before PA school I worked 40 hours and had 21 credits. It was a relief to start PA school. Don't recommend this to anybody.

in the didactic portiuon of paramedic school I did class full time days( it was a cert course so no units) and worked 50-70 hrs/week nights/evenings/weekends.
a few yrs ago when thinking about going back to medschool I took physics, genetics, and stats while working 2 full time jobs( don't recommend that - got A's all 3 courses but was incredibly burnt out).
