What's the MSAR? And are there any databases that would give me information which schools accept international students? Are any of them online?
Thank you.
The MSAR is the AAMC official guide titled "Medical School Admissions Requirements". It has all the info you need on when to apply, schools, etc. It also has information for international students, as well as breakdowns in terms of how many get in and where I believe. You can generally pick it up at your school bookstore.
Ehm, please get the MSAR...for your sake! It is EXTREMELY helpful...and when they refer to it as the Premed Bible they're really not kidding...I still refer to it and I'm done applying! Good luck!
I view it as the "bible to medical schools"...it gives class size, number of applicants, number interviewed, etc. In most cases, it provides you w/ an avg. MCAT and GPA. It also states the schools' missions and a brief overview of their selection criteria.
i got mine directly from aamc.org. But you may also want to get the baron's version cuz it has ALL mcats and gpa scores...although I question the reliability of their data
