What's the point of +/- on AADSAS GPA Calculations?

Is it to normalize everyone?

Which GPA do dental schools look at most? My +/- GPA is much higher than the GPA without +/-...Hope they pay attention to that lol.

I'm no adcom, but I'd think they would pay attention to it. When you think about it, a B+ in a class is a much better than a B-.
The calculations likely are to normalize everyone. From talking to my friends at other universities, there are many discrepancies between what each letter grade is numerically. Some places count an A+ as above a 4.0, some don't. Some also use different grading scales for the same letter grade, which might give an unfair GPA advantage if AADSAS didn't calculate everyone's grades themselves.

On gpa verifications, does aadsas calculate gpas with +/- and w/o +/- for both sgpa and cgpa?

I agree. All about standardizing. That's why we have the DAT also imo.
I once had a class where a 70 was failing.

I wish undergrad schools did this for high school grades...70 was failing in ALL of our high school classes, 96 was the floor of an A-...

I agree, it's just a way to get a clearer picture of how you did in relation to other candidates.
