I was so thoroughly disgusted with my developmental neuroscience book I took out to an outdoor range. I took it out to the 50 yard line and using a 9mm, plunked a hole dead center. It's awesome really. The damage in the front is barely noticeable as a small hole but expands as it rips through the book.

Good stuff.

damn thats hella crazy haha.......

i usually keep all my books........so if i really dont like a book i sell it. yeah not as invigorating as shooting holes in the book but its symbolic for me.

left it at a gf's house and her fawking dog chewed it to hell.

170$ calc book...... sigh.

I read one once.

TTSD, you should've taken it out a little further & popped it w/some .223. Talk about gratifying. Still, not a bad shot.

set fire to my quantum mechanics, i.e. the worst class ever, book after the final. i'm not kidding.

i am using international politics on the world scene to hold up my air conditioner.

I'm calling BS on TTSD's being able to hit a book in the "center" at 50 yds w/ a 9mm... Was it a Beretta? B/c my 9mm isn't that accurate.

Along those same lines though, my best friend in HS and I took an English book we hated out back of my house. He tossed it up and I busted it w/ a shotgun. Amazing amount of damage. The worst thing was that the teacher instucted us to bring it back to review for the final.....

I set fire to a pile of my books I hated and I couldn't sell back to get any cash. I sat at the bonfire and drank a cold one. Smiling the entire time. It only would have been better with smores.

Well, I was doing my assigned reading for philosophy class while dropping off kids at the pool. It turns out my roommate had used all the TP without replacing it. So what did I do? Ripped out a few pages and had the worst butt-wiping experience of my life. The only consolation was the burst of laugh I had when the instructor asked to turn to that page in class. Not as violent as you guys, but thought I'd share that.

I fell asleep on my physics book and drooled on it (the corner of pages 762-770 were saturated). When you close the book now it looks warped. I can't believe I just shared that with y'all. Forgive me.

No, a sig sauer p225.. a beautiful weapon.

One time, during an ice storm, I used an British Literature text book as an ice scraper for my windows.

I didn't hate the class or book, but it pretty much destroyed the binding.

This thread is halarious. Especially the butt wiping and drool one. I drooled on the title page of my organic book and then circled it and warned the next reader that it is a great pillow...wow that's bad, didn't even get past the title page.

I tried this with 4 Dallas phone books, over 14" when stacked then shot it with a rifle. It was cool looking at the fragment patterns. Went in like an ice pick and came out like a paper shredder on steroids. The pattern was as big as the phone book pages and even found some fragments that stopped in the last book.

I burned a text from some crappy class where the buy-back was like $2. It was way more fun than getting $2. Several of us had a bonnfire.

At the end of gen chem I tried to sell my book back, but they weren't readopting it. I hated gen chem with a passion (got As, but just thought it was a ******ed class) so I took the book out of the store and set it on top of the nearest trashcan (about 10 feet from the bookstore). I then proceeded to rip handful after handful of pages out of the book and throw them away. After a few handfuls I saw two girls about to go into the bookstore with the same book. I told them that they wouldn't buy the book back, but they were more then welcome to help rip handfuls out of my book (it was strangly satisfying). We tore and tore until the book was no more. It was a gay ole' time.

guys as much as i admire you guys you should not have done any of this... one man's book which could be utter **** is another man's treasure. A cousin of mine (they're asian) told me he knew several poorer students who loved to read history, philosphy and other such subjects but could never afford them in general and wanted to read western textbooks as well...he asked me to give away books and stuff i didn't need to him so that he could ration it out to others. I gave him some of my books and some books I actually managed to sell via diff book websites...

As much as I have burned, stabbed, hung, butchered, mutaliated and participated in dark religious rituals to some of my books, I have given some of them away. In fact I had an entire shelf full of MCAT prep matarials. Physics books, the entire 2000/1999 years of Prinston Review, the 2000 Kaplan Review materials, misc other boos, and tons and tons of practice tests. I gave them away to needy students with the line that when they were done they give them to someone else so they can prepare. No one should have to waste 1000 bucks of thier money on a prep like Kaplan (like I did) when those books and tests were what I reviewed most of my stuff from.
