I'm curious too...I called soon after that spot opened and they said they needed someone for November 1, and I asked if they were screening board scores which the secretary said they probably were...so I never sent them an application since I'm sure they already have hundreds of better apps for that spot.
from what i heard, there was a resident who completed another residency (im?) prior to starting ophtho. he had a family and ultimately decided that ophtho residency wasn't what he was expecting and decided to leave.
