i was wondering, when are you considered "complete" at the admissions commitee?
i am noticing there are several people on the boards here saying they have all their stuff in at schools that they ask for, but don't get any confirmation emails from them until almost 4 weeks later in some cases. why?
case 1.) your file is complete and they know you are complete and are already looking at your file for interview consideration, but don't get around to sending the "your file is complete" email due to time priorities.
case 2.) your file is complete but it takes them a while (4 weeks??) to get around to it and mark it as complete, which then afterwards it sits in another queue for them to evaluate for interview consideration.
case 3.) your file is complete and they know you are complete, but since they haven't had time to look at it they don't send you the confirmation notice until they actually get around to it; if you get the confirmation that means they are currently looking at it for interviews.
so which case, if any of these would it be? worst situation would be case 2 i suppose. and i guess different schools have different methods, but what's the standard to expect?
