When are you guys taking Step 2??

Hey Guys,
Needed some of your advice. I'm wondering when i should take step 2. I have it scheduled for the end of January. Not really motivated to study as i travel for interviews.

Do you guys think it will come into play when programs sit down and make their rank lists?

Are there programs that won't rank you if you don't have step 2 in?

I did very well on step 1, as i'm sure most of you did.

Im taking it this weekend...cause im getting dummber by the day...I dont really think that it matters when you take it....

i asked the same question back in september - turns out it has not been an issue. i also scheduled mine for end of jan. i've already been on a lot of interviews and have not been asked when i was planning to take it. if you did well i think they assume you will do reasonably on step 2.

I was wondering the same thing.

VCU anesthesia wants the scores from step 2 ck back by Jan 31!! I just found out at the interview yesterday.

I scheduled mine for end of Jan like you guys, so I don't think I will be able to make that deadline. Is anyone else aware of programs that need step 2 that early?
