I am on a waitlist, waiting very patiently and pulling my hair out. But, I have accepted admission at another school which begins AUG. 1. Until what date do I have to withdraw from this school if I so choose, if the choice becomes available? I have already started receiving info on my Financial Aid Package, White coat ceremony reservation stuff... When is it too late???? :scared:

Sounds like it's time to make a call (or send an email) to the school that has you on the waitlist, in order to convey the fact that if you're just a "few-down" on the waitlist they should accept you, lest they lose you to the abyss of another early start med school.

Thanks for the good advice. However, since I still can't make up my mind, should a get pulled off the waitlist, the longer I string this out, the more time I have to make a decision. I guess I will just be bald by the time I get to school, no matter which school it is. I just don't know how much I should be stringing the other school along. I feel really bad about the fact that the other school thinks I will definitely be attending. But, I don't want to tell them I am waiting on another list for fear of some sort of bad repercussions. Any more words of wisdom??? I really do appreciate the feedback.

Um, from what I understand, schools to which you are accepted already know which schools have you on their waitlists. Could be wrong though... maybe it was just a rumor.

I have heard that also, but I think I fit into some loophole because one school is osteo, and the WL is allo, so I don't know what the crossovers between the two institutions are...
