When can i expect an interview invite?

Hey guys,
My LORs have finally been uploaded today by my alma mater. My application has been submitted since June. All the schools I've applied to said that they've received it. For those who have received interviews already, how long do you the estimate for schools to start contacting me about interviews? Also, do you think it is necessary for me to contact each school to inform them that it's been uploaded (to help expedite my app) or will they get it soon enough? Thanks guys!!

They will get it and it you will receive interview invites anywhere from this week up until beginning of matriculation next year I believe. Don't worry about it. Not all of the schools have begun to interview yet and many probably haven't sent out invites.

no..there is no need to contact the schools; some don't like to be contacted.....interviews take anywhere from 3 weeks to months...it depends on the number of applicants being reviewed before you and if the schools review every week, biweekly or whatever..its really up to them......you basically have to play the waiting game. 🙂 no one can really tell you when to expect one b/c it would be speculation and not concrete...

I wouldn't discourage someone from contacting the schools, you never know what the schools have screwed up (they messed up a lot for me last cycle). A lot of people are getting interview invites already so you should be a little worried if you applied to a lot of schools (i.e. nova, arizona, indiana, vcu, ohio state, unlv) and haven't heard anything yet, although that doesn't mean you won't still, just that you aren't in the first group of interviewees.

Feel free to contact the schools, it's your application and your future, you deserve to know if everything is ok. You obviously don't need to do it everyday, but one phone call is not going to destroy your application.

An actual question asked in some interviews is: Why didn't you call us more to check on you application? Being proactive about your application status shows that you actually care about your application status. Just don't be annoying about it and you will be fine.
