Hi everyone,

When do you think would be the earliest date to expect any interviews, considering the applicant has average DO acceptance stats, and he/she submits all his/her secondries by the last week of novermber?

thanks!

I got my secondaries in last month, and most schools say it takes between 2 to 4 weeks to review your file and make a decision, at which point they will either call you, email you or snail mail you an invite, a "hold" status, or a rejection. Even with average stats, you always have a shot if your loaded with involvement. Good luck

Holiday seasons are upon us. Seems like some people are currently getting interviews about 3 weeks after being complete at some schools. Good luck.

My exp would say that if your stats are avg, it is unlikely.
However, you may have a chance at a late (by DO standards) interview after say Feb, in which case, they would simply be filling their alt. list.
It is not out of the question.

i think you have a chance...go for your dreams

Hi,

I had posted this on an earlier thread.

My stats:
3.52 overall GPA and 3.61 BCPM.
MCAT score for april 2004= 25N and for August 2005 =23K.
2 year volunteer and research experience.
Good LOR's.

i think you are in great shape...how many schools did you apply to?

9, i think...

Initially 5, then I decided to apply to a few more.

I think late applications can have an impact on admission irrespective of MD or DO.
I just hoep I dont have to pay the price.
