When can I schedule Step 3?

I'm planning on taking the test in the last 2 weeks of May. On the FSMB website, it says the last day for registering for the 2008 cycle is Sep 5th.

If you look in the bulletin, it says that once you register you have to take the test within a 90 day window.

Whats the deal? If I want to take the test in May, then I have to wait until at least January to schedule, correct?

According to the FSMB, that deadline is just for people trying to take the test by the end of 2008, and the 2009 application should be available in September.

I just submitted my application a few weeks ago and my eligibility period is between now and early December.
